March 2, 1904 - The day Dr. Seuss, Theodor Seuss Giesel, was born. At my house, we think Dr. Seuss is awesomer than awesome. And, Oh! the places he went!

Of course a celebration was in order. So we made a cake.

It couldn't be just any cake, it had to be a cake as big as a lake. Or as tall as a house. Or as long as a snake.

It should have big candy buttons, pink swirly icing and lots of glitter too. The edible kind you silly goob!

And according to Pop,

It just wouldn't be complete without a glop.

A big pink glop. Right on top.

My little chef and I had lots of fun creating this crazy cake. I think we used some of everything in the kitchen!

And he felt that it needed more and more decorating so he eventually wound up decorating the cake stand with glitter and icing too.

I think Dr. Seuss would be proud!

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday (WOYWW)

Well at first I was just copying my friend Amy because it seemed like a fun thing to do. Show you all the crap on my workdesk. But then the more I thought about it, the more I liked it and this is why...

You know those fancy magazines with photos of where "women like you" create. Only you look at those pictures and realize where you create looks nothing like that. At all.

Well these aren't those kinds of pictures. And I like that. I like that a lot.
