Pleased to make your acquaintance!
Well, hello there! It is so nice to finally meet you. I'm glad you've come back today. Of course, I should introduce myself. We didn't get to that last time what with your not being able to see me and all. But there's time for that yet. First a few words from the Beldame herself.....
It is so nice to find all of you here. It has been an exciting week for me, that's for sure. The delightful creature you see above has been a visitor in my studio these last few days. I've learned some incredible things about faeries, which I will share with you later, but I've also learned alot about myself. For instance, I've been holding back, holding out on you, if you will. There's actually another side of me that you don't get to see that often and I've made the decision to bring that side of me out to play...permanently. I'd like to introduce you to The Beldame, an alter ego of sorts. You know, the funny thing is, it's actually more like the real me. I hope you'll stick around and get to know me, The Beldame, a little better. For now, we should get to that 100th post giveway....
How To Win
Our friend above will not share his name with me. Apparently faeries have many names and many forms. They can be as ever changing as the seasons and therefore their names often change, too. Of course every fae folk has a real name. These are shared very rarely and often unwillingly, just ask Rumpelstiltskin! Knowing a faery's real name is to own that faery and ironcially that's just what the winner of this 100th post giveway will do....own this faery. Of course, it will be up to him to share with you his real name.
All you need to do to win is leave a comment on this post, with a way to contact you if you aren't an active blogger. For an additional chance to win, feel free to mention my giveaway on your own blog and I'll put your name in the drawing twice! Winner will be announced April 30th.
I can't say that I'm allowing my friend to leave me willingly. He's been a muse of sorts and I have grown quite fond of him but it was his decision to leave his home and take his magic to other places. I will miss him greatly but I am happy to know that he will be bringing magic into the life of one very lucky winner.
Today he's been out saying goodbye to his friends, the wonderful Ms. Wicket and Elias the troll and all the faeries he loves so much. The good news is, The Beldame is busy making preparations for you to meet these lovely creatures as well. I have set aside a special place where I can be myself. I call it, The Beldame's Workshop, my new selling blog, and you can visit it by clicking on The Beldame anywhere in this post. I do hope you'll come by for a visit and keep a look out for the other delightful creatures I have to introduce you to. I just know you'll adore them as much as I do. For now, I believe our friend has something more to say!
Well then, you've finally been introduced to The Beldame and I think that's the best secret of all! There is something else you should know. Faeries are not only wise but also mischevious. Take for example my unwillingness to venture into the Blackberry Briar with you the other day. Of course, I blamed it on my wings and at the time you had no reason to believe I didn't have any. But as you can see, I am not a silly winged creature! But I do hate going into those Blackberry Briars. Good thing The Beldame isn't quite as reserved as I. I know she'll be introducing you to the creatures who live there in her own time.
I must be getting back to my goodbyes. I look forward to meeting whichever of you is the most in need of magic for that will surely be the creature who takes me home. That is, afterall, how magic works. Goodbye for now...
Our friend tells me that he is known as a Perceptive Pisky. Piskies are known for their intuition. His gut feeling tells him just what to do! So, I've taken to calling him Pip, The Pisky, and I do hope that he'll bring as much magic and joy to you as he has to me. Good Luck!
Pip Saying His Goodybyes...

This comment is not for an entry, but I had to tell you all this, just couldn't include it in my first comment as it just didn't fit "my story." Your blog is always such a joy to read and your artwork is truly a sight to behold. I am looking forward to meeting Pip's friends. When I jumped online this morning the first thing I saw was Pips picture and I just had to come take a peek. I guessed he was up for sale and in your shop. Boy was I wrong. You did a great job and just I love how his eyes are looking up and away and I can almost hear all of the thoughts and curiosities swirling through his head. I am gratefully shocked to see he is for a generous giveaway by you. Thanks for the fun name challenge. Looking so forward to more of your creations.

Ooooh, lucky me, I think I'm sneaking in at the very end here, and I'm excited because i just found your cool blog through Zan's Sea Swap, and I realy admire Pip. He reminds me of my pig collection I had as a child. I was born in the year of the pig, and I didn't know it then, but i did collect them, and I'm from Iowa, and, well, if Pip is not a pig no offense, I love pigs and he bears a striking resemblance. I have a home full of fun and whimsical fae and he would be welcomed with open arms!
