Disney's A Christmas Carol Train Tour

On Tuesday we were lucky enough to hop aboard Disney's A Christmas Carol Trail in Savannah. While we weren't taken for a magical ride powered by pixie dust, what we found inside was still magical, indeed!

We were shown how the movie was made from the computerized images of stick figures to how they capture the actors expressions with powerful cameras. There were also models of Dicken's London they used to shoot scenes for the movie applying color and depth with computers after scenes were shot.

The most exciting part for me was seeing the artwork created for the movie:

Ghost of Jacob Marley Figurine

Busts of Ebenezer Scrooge and Bob Cratchit

Scrooge

We even got to sneak peeks at scenes from the movie:

In one of the first train cars we toured we got to see pictures of the characters and their costumes.

A Young Belle - Ebenezer's Fiance

Ebenezer as a Child

Ebenezer as a Young Man

Old Scrooge

I was surprised to not only see a portrait of Charles Dickens but also some of his original works and even some handwritten notes by Dickens himself!

Dickens & Handwritten notes from Dickens 3rd major novel: The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickelby

Tiny Tim -

Christmas Carol Quadrilles Piano Forte

Other original documents and 1st editions

We had a great time! If you are in Florida, South Carolina, Pensylvania or New York, be sure to check Disney's A Christmas Carol Train Tour Website so you don't miss the train when it's in your area. If you won't get to see the train don't miss the movie.

Happy Holidays from our family to yours:

Pictures From My Show
Historic Norcross Art Fest

Setting up in the dark. The day began at 6 am...

All set up and ready to go.

Everyone really enjoyed the Halloween motley crew and devilsh characters.
We like those kind of folks!

This is quite a popular guy! I have several orders for him that I will be working on this week.

My vintage-style Halloween shakers were one of my best sellers!

Santa ornies....another great seller.

Snowman ornies....these guys won lots of hearts!

It was a great show but now it's back to work updating my website, Etsy shop and my selling blog, The Beldame's Workshop. I'll also have some new eBay listings this weekend.

Soon I'll be preparing for my next show, the Dunwoody Art Festival, to be held in May. I'm an offical show circuit artist....I'm hooked!
